How to verify contents of a Table

Synopsis:

This guide explains how to verify the contents of a Table in Edit mode, View mode and when empty.

Applicable to:

Validating the contents of a table.

Prerequisite:

Need to have defined a table in the Page File Builder.

How to:

  1. In the Feature Page select "Add New Step" to the given Scenario.
  2. If the table is already populated type or select 'verify contents of a Table' in the drop-down list.

  3. Enter what page the Table is on along with the Table as defined in the Page File. All of the defined columns from the Page File will now appear in the Scenario as shown below.

  4. You can choose to validate only the columns and rows that you want. To remove a column or row simply click the red 'x' next to the corresponding column or row. To retrieve previously removed columns click the green '+' next to the column headings and choose which column to bring back.

  5. When finished click Done Adding Steps to complete the Table verification step.

  6. The Table has now been created in the Feature and is ready for testing.
